Here at okartsceneandhurd, we would like to extend our appreciation of Hal Holbrook and his continued ability to perform in film and television. While we are going to miss Hal Holbrook’s performance, we are certainly looking forward to CityRep’s next offering of outstanding performances!
Good morning friends,
Donald Jordan here. I wanted to personally share a letter I received yesterday late in the afternoon from Hal Holbrook.
As you know, Hal was scheduled to start his fall tour with an appearance as MARK TWAIN TONIGHT! here at
CityRep in three weeks.
Now, however, given the enormous challenge of this legendary one-man performance, our friend Hal has decided the time has come to let this American theatrical treasure exit gracefully from the stage it has so brilliantly illuminated for more than six decades.
Fortunately, we will still be able to enjoy Hal, hale and hearty as ever, as he continues his multiple Emmy award winning and Oscar nominated television and film career.
While I am saddened we will not be able to share this unique masterpiece with you as we had planned, I am very grateful to our friend Hal for his decades of inspiration, laughter and thought-provoking artistry.
As for the details of the now canceled event, refunds will be automatically issued from the OCCC Box Office. You should receive an email notification from them of this refund.

I also wanted to let you know that here in the CityRep office we are already busy this morning seeking another extraordinary theatrical entertainment to present as our special fundraising event for this season. We will be in touch soon with further details.
This week, you can enjoy Broadway’s Julie Johnson in the Oklahoma premiere of A CLOSER WALK WITH PATSY CLINE. Performances start September 14 and continue through September 24 as we kick off our 16th season with this hit crowd-pleasin’, toe-tappin’, good ole time!
