Based on the novella by Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a now mythical character first created in Victorian Era England at a time when Christmas wasn’t the annual celebration that it is today. The UCO Musical Theatre students present a “Spooktactular Halloween Revue” at the UCO Jazz Lab. Since the 15th century the name of Vlad Dracul has inspired dread in the hearts of Romanians and the terror based on numerous legends spread. The Pollard Theatre reanimates “Evil Dead: The Musical” to an audience committed to fun, frivolity and fabulous fear.  In 1981 Sam Raimi conceived the horror flick, “The Evil Dead,” birthing an entire franchise dedicated to bad zombies.  George Reinblatt wrote the book and lyrics for “Evil Dead: The Musical,” premiering in 2006, and it has since become a part of the cult classic ‘Evil Dead’ series. Since 1973, almost everyone that loves this spooky time of year has experienced the outrageous cult classic ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show,’ whether from the original London production in 1973 or both the Broadway production and hit movie starring Tim Curry as Frank ‘N’ Furter in 1975.   In 2016, J. Robert Moore portrayed Frank ‘N’ Furter at Lyric Theatre to rave reviews; now Moore has returned to direct, ushering in Eric Ulloa’s turn in platforms to dazzle Oklahoma audiences!
